Application of Neuroscience in Teaching and Learning

Student Level:

The curriculum of the STEAM subject for F.1 and F.2 revolves around the themes of "School" and "Health." Students are introduced to "design thinking" to understand needs and then proceed to solve real school and societal issues. In the Life Education subject for F.5, various mediums, including films, music, and physical activities, are used to encourage students to reflect on the meaning of life and internalize a self-directed learning attitude.

 

Teacher Level:

In the first semester, experts were invited to provide subject teachers with insights into the application of neuroscience in teaching and learning. Teachers conducted "action research" focusing on one specific teaching method and analyzed the data collected from pre-tests and post-tests. The aim was to improve both teaching methods and student learning approaches. The outcomes of this research were shared during the teacher development day at the beginning of the second semester, where other colleagues were invited to observe and exchange experiences in innovative and collaborative teachers' classrooms.
