The Art of Winning Hearts

Education shouldn’t be confined to a single ruler. Mr. Lei firmly believes in tailoring education to individual students' needs. In his F.1 mathematics class, he introduced the "Learning Studio" model learned from a study trip to Germany. Various teaching materials were placed in different corners of the classroom, allowing each student to learn at their own pace according to their abilities. This approach aimed to improve students' attitudes towards learning and enhance their self-directed learning abilities. The desks and chairs were also arranged in a group format, encouraging interaction and collaboration among classmates. Through these changes, more experimentation was incorporated into the teaching methods, transforming the role of the teacher from a traditional "instructor" to a "facilitator," thereby returning the ownership of classroom learning to the students.
